First and foremost - make your objections known to the Oldham planning committee. This should ideally be done by letter to each one of the committee - email can be used although the councillors may not receive these directly.
Write a letter of objection! Available here. It is better if the letters are written in your own words, although this example is ready to be signed and sent to OMBC should you prefer to use it.
This should be sent to arrive by February 4th at the latest and every member of a household can send one. It is not restricted to Oldham residents, either!
It is also important to object to the revised UDP - see the news section for further details.
An objection form is available here. This is not for objection to the scheme itself, merely to Oldham Council giving carte blanche to wind power station developers to ruin the whole of the countryside surrounding Oldham. This should be sent to;
Strategic Planning & Information Services, OMBC Level 14, Civic Centre, PO Box 335, West St, Oldham OL1 1XL Fax 0161 9011 4162(or emailed by clicking here) by the 3rd of December.
Any help raising awareness of the issues would be a step towards stopping this terrible misuse of our heritage for the benefit of United Utilities shareholders.
Raise general awareness in Oldham about the problems created by windfarms - put a poster in the back window of your car and in your house windows.
Sign or start a petition.
Put a sign up in your garden showing your objection. We will arrange for it to be erected for you. Email us for details.
