Scout Moor Protest Group.

The Denshaw and Castleshaw proposals seem part of a far larger plan by United Utilities. This is the website of the action group for scout moor near Rochdale, where they intend to blight over 1300 acres with this inefficient source of power. There are also lots more useful links on this site.

Save our Borderland Environment

A new group launched in May, based around Oswestry in Shropshire. We have formed to fight a proposal to build 18 turbines in the area.

The Protect Rural Scotland Party

Have recently been succesful in having proposals unanimously declined by the local council.

Markam, Askam and Ireleth Windfarm Group

Wind turbines built in this area have had an identifiably detrimental impact on the quality of local resident's lives. We need to ensure that our website does not change from a campaign to stop the project to a plea for a return of quality of life lost.

Country Guardian

An excellent site which highlights the environmental problems caused by wind turbines. "In any case, the unreliability and intermittency of windpower has shown it to be to be an ineffective source of electricity and merely serves as an example of green tokenism, which does nothing to meet any environmental objectives. "

Ceirog Valley Action Group

This action group ran a successful campaign to stop wind turbines from ruining an outstanding area of natural beauty.
