2. 11.00am - Delph Village - SMAG Walk
Meet at Delph
Band Club Lawton Square, Delph. Walking over Heights past Royal Oak &
Heights Church (arriving 11.30 Royal Oak Car Park) along Broad Lane to Pennine
Bridleway dropping down to Dowry Reservoir
(approx 4 hour circular walk -)

Denshaw Post Office for a shorter walk
to Dowry reservoir. Boots still needed

All these walks will coincide to meet at the Bridge on Dowry Road
Bridle Way east of Dowry Reservoir at 1.00pm. GR 998 114. At the centre of the proposed wind turbine site.
This is adjacent to the
A 6040 Huddersfield Road approx
1.5 K from Denshaw Village

These walks
are a great opportunity to demonstrate the strength of feeling against United
Utilities proposal throughout Oldham and beyond.
Members of the
Civic & Archaeological Trusts and Historical Society will be providing a
guided tour of the proposed site of these 7 Giant 350ft Turbines
Walkers are
asked to take care not to disturb nesting birds or lambs. Keep to the paths and
follow the 'Country Code'

Wear Sturdy Boots / Warm Clothes / Bring Drinks, Food and Waterproofs / Keep Dogs under control / No
