HEADLINE: Don't spoil hill's beauty

BODY:
We are deeply concerned about the proposed development of a wind power
station on Mynydd-y-Gwair, north of Swansea, which is an open wilderness in
a densely populated country. Why destroy this beautiful area which is
Mynydd-y-Gwair, with its unique landscape, flora and fauna and locations of
historical and archaeological interest? Why destroy the way of life of hard-
working, caring hill farmers who graze their animals in this area? This is a
travesty.

"We'', the younger generation, also realise the importance of addressing the
problems of global warming. To destroy this unique area with unreliable
technology is incomprehensible. There are alternatives, more reliable forms
of generating energy - tidal and solar.

Please, let commonsense prevail. Save our precious countryside and heritage
for us, the future generation.

The Stone family, Rhian, aged 16, Emyr, 14, Menna, 12, Catrin, 10, Aled,
eight, Gareth, two.
